New class in March 2009

An International Program for Jordan and the Arab Countries,
Held at Princess Sumaya University for Technology and Royal Scientific Society.

In March 2009 the second batch of the successful Master-Program will start. After the first batch with 9 students who really appreciated the program, there have been some changes and improvements. Therefore the Master-Program is even better adapted to the needs and duties of the environmental professionals in the Arab world.

Environmental Technology & Management are central components to improve the environmental performance by bridging the gap between the economy and the environment and integrating social aspects in the development processes.

The Master Program in Environmental Technology & Management aims to prepare future technical staff and decision-makers in both public and private sectors for analyzing and acting in an environmentally proactive manner in relation with policies, production processes and resources utilization.

The program combines both theory and practice on the one hand and technical and managerial aspects on the other. Moreover, it covers the most urgent issues for development based on real life experiences.

Therefore, this unique program will enable students to:

§          Become aware of the most pressing environmental issues and challenges

§          Master useful and efficient tools for managing environmental issues in a practical and effective manner

§          Gain and develop modern managerial skills

§          Develop practical experience and know-how from the field

§          Have exposure to international experiences

The program is open to participants from the Arab region, it will be held in four semesters (2 – year program) starting in March, 2009. Classes will be held in evenings in order to allow professionals to take part in this master program.
