E-learning Course on Network Management

Formal Networks create a number of benefits for their members and their organisations: they allow people to learn from each other by sharing information and know- how on a specific topic; they are sources of new ideas and innovative solutions; and they enable members to develop synergies and to establish new partnerships.

 

It is often observed, however, that little designing or planning is involved while setting up formal networks, leading sometimes to the loss of time and resources. Additionally, experience shows that there is still a wide scope for improving the management of existing networks, since not many people have the required communication skills and planning capacities needed to successfully facilitate and manage a network.

 

SKAT and sba designed an E-learning Network Management Course with the objective of building on conceptual and methodological understanding of network management by strengthening such skills and capacities. Additionally, the e-learning platform will allow participants to become familiar with virtual networking tools while learning concepts and methods. This platform will allow participants to share networking experiences and learn with and from other network practitioners working in different parts of the world.

 

The course will start on January 19 and will last until the 29 of March 2009. It is designed for a group of approximately 25 participants. There are still few available places. Candidates are requested to fill out a registration form and send it including an updated CV and a motivation letter by the 9 of November 2008 at the latest.
