Rock Love is a half live / half (sixth) studio album by American rock band Steve Miller Band. The album was released in September 1971, and compiled by Capitol Records. All of Miller's previous backing band had left following the recording of the previous album, save bassist Bobby Winkelman. They were replaced by members of Winkelman's previous group, the psychedelic rock band Frumious Bandersnatch for this record, including Ross Valory (a future member of Journey) on bass, and Jack King on drums. Bobby Winkelman was in the band (having moved back to rhythm guitar) during the live recordings on the album's first side, but is not credited on the album cover. David Denny, who later joined the band in 1976, is a guest guitarist (again, not credited) on "Blues Without Blame".
The album consists of three blues-rock tracks recorded live, including lengthy jam-style "Love Shock" which lasts nearly 12 minutes and includes an extensive drum solo, and four studio tracks. The first song starts with the words "I'm going to play you some blues 'cos I know you like that", but some critics disagreed, criticising the album's songs as "generic white-boy blueisms". Unlike Miller's previous five albums, this album was a commercial failure.[1]
But there was one duck, a girl duck, who did not laugh. She had known the strange duck for a long time and had always found him to be a good and decent bird. She felt sorry for him. It was hard luck to fall in love with a rock. She wanted to help, but what could she do?
Our Rock and Roll Love Blueprint celebrates over 1400 musicians, artists, songwriters and producers who have been pivotal to the evolution of the sprawling genre that is rock music. From the early debt owed to blues, gospel, jazz and country performers like Ma Rainey, Lead Belly, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Woody Guthrie who paved the way for rock and roll pioneers like Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Elvis who in turn inspired a generation including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and The Velvet Underground and continue to inspire musicians today like The White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys and St Vincent. The print pays homage to the music and artists that laid the foundation for rock and roll, including Memphis and Delta blues (W.C. Handy, Memphis Minnie, Lead Belly, Robert Johnson), gospel (Sister Rosetta Tharpe), country (Jimmie Rodgers, The Carter Family), folk (Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger), boogie-woogie (Fats Domino), Chicago blues (Muddy Waters, B. B. King), doo-wop (The Drifters, The Teenagers) and jump blues (Louis Jordan, Wynonie Harris). The print then weaves through the pioneers of early rock and roll (Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers), the 50's stars shaping youth culture (Bill Haley & His Comets, Elvis Presley, Eddie Cochran), skiffle (Lonnie Donegan), and the subsequent British invasion (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Dusty Springfield).
Fresh from Transgress Press, Queer Rock Love debuted in Austin at BookWoman on September 13. And while this gathering numbered 10 times as many people as that initial feedback session, it was characterized by the same warmth, welcome and love found on that January afternoon and in every page of this deeply funny and affecting memoir.

I was born and raised in a Christian family and accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at age 5. I do not have a drastic and exciting story/testimony of God saving me out of some horrible sin/sin pattern, and for that, I am so very thankful. However, as many believers do, I wandered away from God in my teen years and allowed sin and temptation to creep into my life.
Fortunately for me, I had a supportive family and loving church family that rallied around me and provided me with love, support, and encouragement. I was able to find forgiveness and hope in Jesus. I know it is because of my family and church that stood with me that I choose LIFE for my son. He is 23 years old now, and I am so proud to be his mom!
Following my teen pregnancy and being able to witness/experience firsthand the difference a loving and caring church can make in that type of situation, I have always had a desire to use my story/testimony to help other girls. I have prayed for years for God to allow me to use my experience to offer hope to another girl/family.
In 2021, I was introduced to Love Life and instantly knew that I had to get involved. I attended 2 prayer walks and was so overwhelmed with how God was working through the church to offer hope to women, men, and families during their darkest moment. I felt God was calling me to get involved more, and I signed up to be a mentor.
In 2022, I was paired with a mom that had just chosen life for her baby. There have been some difficult days while walking through life with this mom, but I can truly say it has changed my life. She has become a dear friend. On December 1, 2022, she gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. What a blessing from God.

When I was just getting finished writing my first book, Design for Hackers, I was really mystified by what was going on in my own brain. I wanted to know why creativity was easy sometimes, and hard other times.
We've got daily challenges in Fortnite: Battle Royale now, and not those relatively uninteresting daily challenges that we've had since Season 2. So far, Fortnite's new Fortbyte system have sent us on several location-based quests from the ice biome to a little outhouse out there in the desert and all over the map: I assume we'll do a ton of bouncing around before the season is through. Today's however, is a little bit different: it's a little more straightforward, jsut asking you to use a specific spray in a specific spot. So read on for a map, guide, and location for Fortbyte 92: accessible by using the Rock Love spray near a lavafall.
First off, you're going to need the Rock Love spray, which is accessible through the battle pass at Tier 2. It's actually free, but yf you're doing these challenges you should have the battle pass anyways.
Next, you're going to need a lavafall. It's what you might guess: like a waterfall, but with lava. This is actually where things are not quite as clear as they could be. There are a couple of distinct lavafalls on the map, all of them clustered near the former Volcano now known as Pressure Plant. But it doesn't seem that all of them are going to work: I tried this on the bottom and came up empty. Use it on the highest lavafall, directly beneath Pressure Plant. Here's where you're going:
You can actually see the Fortbyte even before it's accessible. It's sitting just to the right of the lavafall if you're facing Pressure Plant. Just use the spray anywhere in that area and it should become unlocked. Here's what it looks like on the ground, covered by other people's rock love sprays:
The rock love spray commemorates Fortnite's sweetest and only love story: two rock creatures that moved slowly across the map to meet each other, only to be tragically separated by the volcano before finding their way back to each other. Fortnite may involve a lot of battles to the death, but there's room for love in there, too.

Jill Riley: I'm with Lynette Reini-Grandell and also with Venus de Mars. Venus, I know you best from the band, All The Pretty Horses; more and more people have become familiar with your story and your journey over the years. And I mean, and this has been, again, a journey that has been a lifetime. And you know, having your spouse and your partner with you for such a big part of this journey, if you could just kind of talk about your journey in transitioning, and, you know, really kind of discovering your identity.
Venus de Mars: I was in a closet for a long time, because that's the way it was; very dangerous to come out back in that day. And so I kind of knew something was going on, but I was just avoiding everything, avoiding relationships, avoiding everything. I eventually became very suicidal. After I thought everything was solved when Lynette and I got married and everything was great and new, and I felt like all of that was behind me.
And I wanted to prove I was 24/7 because by the time I got into the band, I had already gotten onto hormones and was developing my breasts. And I didn't want people to think that I was just putting on a shtick for attention. So I chose the whole fetish dom look, which gave me power and strength and allowed me to prove that I was 24/7 who I was.
