If you’ve not done so already, this is a good time to start preparing for your December 2013 CFA Level I exam. There is a tremendous amount of material to cover and leaving it for later will create unnecessary stress.
Start by creating a schedule. The amount of time on each topic should depend on your familiarity with the topic and the topic weight. Overall you should target completing the course at least one month before the actual exam. This will give you time to review and practice in the final 4 – 6 weeks.
As an example here is a the schedule I'm following with my students. We started a couple a weeks ago and are on R8 in Quant right now. If you want to follow this schedule you'll have to ramp up fast.

You can define a different schedule for yourself but keep in mind that Quant should be done early because the core concepts developed here are necessary to understand CF, PM, Equity, FIS, Derivatives and Alternative Investments.
Over the next few months I’ll continue to share thoughts and suggestions on preparing for the Level 1 exam.
Good luck with your studies.
