First Oriental Market
2774 E Ponce de Leon Ave,
Decatur, GA 30030

Can anymore recommend this establishment?

I quest "Chinese egg noodles 1/8" thick, frozen of (preferably) fresh, available in Asian Markets" to recreate the sesame noodles of long gone college days.

I need to stop in at the space, and First Oriental Market is nearby.

Thanks,
Preston

If it is the one near Your Dekalb Farmers Market (I wish I had a Dekalb Farmers Market) I have shopped there.  They are kind, and have LOTS of stuff.

I remember a conversation with Eldon in which we agreed that a home neighbored by the Dekalb Farmers Market and a maker's space would be "all we'd ever need." (Not to imply that Eldon and I were house hunting!)

The one near the strip-tease joint?  I've been, I'll second that it's a pretty amazing place.  They have an entire aisle full of ramen, and most of one side of another aisle devoted to soy sauces from around the world.

They also stock a bunch of cool oriental cooking equipment, including the vegetable knives of your dreams and a selection of gigantic pots suitable for brewing beer.
