Hi,

Yes, the galaxy profiles fit an elliptical shape model -- see shape_r, shape_e1, shape_e2.  (And sersic).

Hey,

I'm a PhD student who was hoping to utilize DECALs as a part of my dissertation within the upcoming months. In short, I am doing a structural analysis on compact galaxies. DECALs appears to utilize models to assign sources as a type (e.g. Sersic, PSF). Are there any plans to release further structural information that would also be output from a light profile model, such as axial ratios?

Thanks,
Derrick

Thanks, I re-wrote the question to make it more clear. Hopefully you can briefly reply to that too. In particular, some parameters I would be very interested in having are b/a axial ratios and bulge-to-disk flux ratios.

If you read about the shape params you'll see how to compute b/a

We don't have bulge-to-disk because we don't compute those composite models in DR9 -- we used to in previous releases but we switched to a Sersic model instead.
