Greetings,

I love Decaf, it's helped me and my team catch the server more than
once before the sites hosted on it went down. However, every time my
DroidX loses internet connection (either switching from wifi to 3G or
if I go in a tunnel or parking garage underground), it goes nuts. Is
there a way to turn off the alert for when it can't reach amazon?

Thanks!
Doug

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the love :) it is very nice to hear it is valuable!

The short answer is no. The long answer is that we also provide a free (no ads, so really free :P) app called Decaf Monitor that you can use to monitor pages/ports. This app has more features also giving more control over alerting. It might help you get rid of this annoyance. (If you use Decaf on the instance's public DNS it works the same, except that it doesn't check the EC2 status of the instance.)

We do plan to merge this functionality to Decaf, only no idea when.

Groet,
Jurg.

Hey Jurg,

You actually sparked a brilliant idea in my head. I'm going to use the free app (which I had for a different AWS account (ps: do you plan on supporting multiple accounts in the paid version?), I'm going to use that to monitor ports, and the EC2 monitor to control the instance if needed.

Thanks for the inspiration!
Doug
