How to get the type of operating system (windows/linux) and the number of operating systems in the virtual machine image after the virtual machine is started？

Is there an API to get this information directly?

DECAF performs some simple detection of guest OS and its version. If you need to precisely detect OS and its version, you can check Volatility as a memory forensic tool, and see how it determines OS version. Long story short, for Windows, it scans a data structure in the kernel, and reads the version out.
