Interview Opportunities - You Choose!

Guys,

I have been speaking to all the press officers across the land about the media days over the last week or so, and have now touched base with 16 of the 18 counties. Most of the dates are now on the "Press Days 2013" section of the Portal, so check out the details if you haven't already done so. Some of the media officers are still finalising their days, so I'll update these when i've received confirmation.

One of the things that has become apparent is all of the media guys are willing to arrange interviews with us before the press days arrive. particularly now before the clubs go away to Barbados or wherever on pre-season tours. I have this week interviewed Dougie Brown, and I am lining up Yorkshire interviews, and Somerset too.

If anyone has any ideas for who they want to interview, please let me know and I will speak to the relevant counties to see if we can line them up. I would say the next 2 or 3 weeks could be huge in terms of getting interviews lined up, and then obviously the press days, when they come, will provide further opportunities

 

Tom M, I note you are interested in a Yorkie player? Can you let me know who you're after and i'll revert to their man?

 

I was thinking Kieswetter from Somerset would be good, to find out his thoughts at being dropped from england set up, essentially.

I did an interview with Jack Shantry off my own hat a while ago (maybe a month ago). I've published it on my blog already, but if you guys like we could post it here also, though I know we kind of not do that.

Brad, I'd say players are reluctant to arrange interviews off their own back. I know Laurie Evans has with us, but on the whole players will wait til the media officer arranges it for them. Anyway, no bother, I'll see what i can do.

James, I'll speak to Ryan about Shantry, but my first thought would be we should do our own. Would you be interested in interviewing another Worcestershire player?

I'm trying to line up an interview with the Somerset chairman Andy Nash. He's got a book out around the start of the season so aiming to get a review copy and / or one for a competition if I can

Joe, do you have spencer @ Somerset's details? He is really helpful and will doubtless be the best man to get Nash sorted out. I can ask him tomorrow if you like, as i have to go back to him on something anyway.

Tom,

I would pop along to Taunton and interview Craig Keiswetter if he was up for it. I have to say I doubt he would be but you never know. Hopefully now I have Adam Dibble's number and trust he would know I am a genuine enough chap, and a Somerset fan too, so wouldn't stitch him up. 

Maybe after the press day next Tuesday if it can be arranged.
