Hi All,
We're just 21 days away now!
We have a lot of new writers on board for 2013 while many of you have been wondering how we are going to work this summer. Below I will try and outline everything as clearly as possible. Have a read and make sure you understand everything, please don't hesitate to email me or reply to this thread with any questions.
News Articles
News articles don't come up as regularly throughout the season as they do during the Winter with things like signings and contract extensions unlikely to be announced during the season. However, there will be plenty of news coming through and we need to get this online asap.
Rosters
Each week, there will be a new roster with every match for that seven days included. The roster will be posted on the portal homepage as well as this message board. On it will include who is assigned to do match previews, reports and round-ups for the upcoming games. It is essential you stick to the templates for the appropriate articles, they can be found on the "article templates" page on the portal.
Match Previews
Previews were a big part of the site last year because we were the only site which provided individual LVCC match previews with team news. Every LVCC game needs to be previewed while a general preview piece for the Friends Life t20 and YB40 will be fine. The weekly roster will outline which writer is assigned to a preview for that week.
Attending Games
Anybody wishing to attend games to provide updates and a report must sign-up by using the Press-Pass roster on this portal at least 5 days in advance. This is essential as we need to contact the counties to obtain the pass. When attending games, you will provide updates for that match on the live blog as well as submitting an end of play report. It's also important to sign-up as early as possible so we can assign you to the relevant match in the weekly roster.
Live Blog
We are going to be running a live blog, covering all LVCC games. Obviously, those reporters who are attending games will be providing updates from the ground while as well as a "Live Blog host", we need other writers to provide updates from home. You can check out all the details about the live blog in our guidelines doc. which can be found on the portal homepage.
You will need to confirm your availability for the live blog coverage through the Match/Press Pass roster on the portal.
Match Reports
For LVCC games, we aim to get a short end of day report for all games and this will be in co-ordnance with the live blog roster. Further details can be found in the Live Coverage guidelines doc.
