Hi again everyone,
Thanks very much to those of you who got back to me regarding the predictions pieces. Currently I have 13 names, including myself, on my list of people to have shown an interest. They are as follows:
Joe Tarring
Oli Wheatley
Stephen Robbins
James Connell
Ben Brown
Bradley Adams
Thomas Kidd
Simon Dewhurst
Luke Bidwell
Steve Jennings
Tom Huelin
Stephen Clark
Tom Maston
If I have missed you off or you would like to be involved but haven't let me know, just reply to this thread and I'll add your name to the list.
Right, onto what I need from you. I need predictions from you all on the following subjects:
LVCC Division One winners
LVCC Division One relegated (two teams)
LVCC Division Two promoted (two teams)
LVCC Division Two bottom side
Top LVCC run-scorer (either division)
Top LVCC wicket-taker (either division)
CB40 winners
FLt20 winners
Best winter signing
Name to look out for (a young player who is set to breakthrough, or alternatively an underachiever who is set to fulfil their potential)
Ashes score prediction
Champions Trophy winners
For each section I need about 100-200 words outlining why you think each thing will happen while you could explain why you think certain teams/players may not win certain competitions etc.
I am aiming to start publishing the first of these pieces around the middle of March and continue doing so up until the week leading into the season. I have no set order for whose piece I want to publish first, nor a deadline for submission as yet. I appreciate there are still six weeks to go until the 10th April and some teams are still making signings so don't feel you have to rush.
On the same note, if you back, for example, Yorkshire to go down, and they then sign Hashim Amla (I wish...) and you want to change your mind, that's fine (as long as I haven't already published your piece). Just drop me a message on here to let me know and send your amended predictions over.
That leads me nicely onto submission. All articles are to be submitted via the portal, using the 'Submit Articles for Upload' tab. I know some of you have been using this but I feel this is a good way to get people up to speed as to how we'll be working this season. It's pretty straightforward but if you are having any issues let myself or Ryan know.
Right, so in summary:
100-200 words per prediction
No strict submission deadline
Predictions can be changed before publication
All submissions to the portal
Hope that's clear for everyone. Any questions give me a shout.
Cheers,
Tom
