Proctoru Browser Extension Chrome Download

I registered on ProctorU this morning to schedule a testing time, and am having a lot of issues with testing my equipment. I use Google Chrome as my browser, but it will not allow me to enable ProctorU extension. Further, proctorU keeps telling me to install the newer version, but it is up to date and current. I read on reddit that others have had this issue, and tried Firefox instead. I downloaded Firefox and re-tested my equipment. Using Firefox, I passed all of the tests, but Firefox does not allow ProctorU access to my CPU/RAM information. I have not had CPU/RAM issues in the past, and am currently using a 2017 MacBook Air with 11.1 MacOS Big Sur.
Chromebook computer users will install the Respondus LockDown browser extension to the latest Google Chrome web browser. It does not work with other web browsers. Students will use the Respondus installation link to download the software. RLDB is not available from the Chrome web store.

I used the ProctorU extension to complete a PCNA exam. But it is still in my browser (image of an owl in the top left corner) This is very alarming to me, as it is not visible in the "Manage Your Extensions" list, and also very annoying because I don't have any way to get rid of it. What is going on here? Is Firefox secure? How does this thing have hooks into my browser and how do I get rid of it?
Her exam must be taken using Chrome ie the browser and she has a google account so we tried removing chrome all versions from CPU which means computer ie CPU = MacBook Air yet when we reloaded google has been able to add back all history so we removed all browser history and cookies. Which seems to lower RAM usage but not when we rebooted and ran the proctorU test.
scant, I am having the same issue with MBA 2020, 8G ram, chrome and proctoru equipment test. the only thing I have found that helps so far is I clear all history, force quit apps (like activity monitor) and reboot. log into proctoru, do test and it will pass the first time. I have to repeat the process to pass again.
I have the same issue with proctoru and a brand new macbook pro, that i just bought because proctoru doesnt work with chromebook. the irony is that i installed chrome on my new mac didnt work, i tried firefox doesnt work. I rebooted, restated and had help from apple and procotor u and they cant figure it out either ?
