Please be advised that we have made some exciting changes to the Debt
Wise software.
Fundamentally the programme is still the same, but we have made
cosmetic changes and have added some new functionality to ease your
work flow; for instance we have made provision for calculations based
on the "In Duplum" rule and calculations incorporating the cascading
effect. We have also built in tabs on which you may click to view your
clients according to the category in which they are currently in (was
previously displayed in the different tables).
We have initiated the process of building in help functions, so if you
get stuck please refer to them for guidance.
What is of utmost importance is that you apply the cascading function
to each of your files before merging proposals to creditors. In other
words, if you have done a pro rata calculation today and you have
saved the information for the proposals to be merged tomorrow, you
will have to go and apply the cascading function to your client's case
before merging those proposals, otherwise payment periods will not
reflect correctly.
Further to the above, please keep in mind that the cascading function,
as is the case with the save function, needs to be done after changes
have been made.
Example:
You completed verified amounts and the applicable dates and you
clicked on the cascading button. Afterwards you realise that you have
not completed the interest rates yet. You will then complete the
interest rates click on save and then click on the cascading button
again. This is because an important change has been made and this
change will affect certain figures - such as the payment period.
We trust and hope that you will find these changes as exciting as we
do and that you will benefit greatly from it.
Although we have effected proper testing before implementing these
changes, we urge you to contact us if you experience any problems
whatsoever.
