I recently bought a Star Stream Android TV box. Today I tried to install Adobe flash. Well after about an hour trying, to the point my wife telling me I had no idea what I was doing, I found the page where to get flash player. I click on the link, the page open and before I can click on anything, it turn to page telling me I need to install flash player for the page to work. What the hell, I am looking to install it and I can't. This is beyond ludicrous, Why the page telling me I need it, I know that, that is what I am there for. So my opinion of the adobe site, morons programmed it.

Unfortunately, Flash Player is not supported on Android TVs. The page is telling you it needs it, because the content requires Flash Player, however, Adobe does not support Flash Player on Android TVs.

In my nieghbour hood, there are at least 10 houses in a 4 block area the have Android tv Boxes, the store I bought mine at sells over 100 a week. however made it so this is not able to be installed is making a big mistake. I think whoever made this decision, was a USA citizen, and in my enough said. If you want details, contact me on my thoughts

Although I got a brand new up-to-date LG phone with the Adobe Flash Player already installed and updated , whenever I go to a web page that requires an updated version of Adobe Flash Player it sends me to a link and when I click on it it tells me that my device does not support Adobe but then I go to look at my Adobe Flash Player in my apps it's updated and running properly

There is absolutely no alternative I'm afraid, if the web site is designed to use Flash Player. In this case it's the web site that's old fashioned, as it won't work on anyone's phone, and it won't work on a lot of computers. I'd advise you to find a different site, or complain to the site maker.

Flash for Android is discontinued. Pretty amazing you got an ancient version in a new phone at all - it was cancelled over 6 years ago. Don't expect to be able to use modern Flash content anyway, and Flash Player itself is going to be removed from even Mac and Windows within 2 years, according to Adobe. Seek alternative sites without Flash.

Wow,that tells me how truly braindead and out of date I am in these things. Is there a free version of an app or product you could recommend that compares to flash player? I'm using it in a broadcast situation and the web site suggested flah player but obviously that's not going to work. Anything you can think of in comparison, if you would be so kind as to give me a much needed shove out if the stone age here!

I advised all my application users to use Puffin since 3 years now as I have no time and budget to reprogram zillion lines of code to the ugly javascript (damn I hate this language;)) and no one complained about it.

While Flash Player hasn't been supported on mobile devices for over 4 years, saying "it won't work on a lot of computers" is rather misleading as it continues to be supported on desktop systems, and will continue to be supported until its EOL at the end of 2020.

I've not heard of wide-spread corporations disabling Flash by default. However, browser vendors have disabled it by default, forcing user's to enable it, usually on a per-site basis (e.g. Edge). We publish tech notes on how to enable Flash on the various browsers. These are linked to at Flash Player Help

There are millions of Flash installs daily. Google and Microsoft have been embedding Flash in Chrome and IE/Edge, respectively, for years. I suspect the Flash forums would be a lot busier than they are if it didn't "work on most computers"

If you're experiencing issues on a particular site and/or platform, we'd be glad to look into it. Just start a new discussion topic, providing os, browser, flash version, direct link to content, and a description of the issue.

Why should I download and update the latest version? Because malware authors will often employ misleading tactics to make malware look like something you should trust, it's important to get your Flash Player updates directly from Adobe. So checking your Adobe Flash layer and makes frequent update is very necessary.

Commonly, you are presented with the Flash Player update notifying that a new version of Adobe Flash Player is available for downloading from adobe.com. And you just need to download it and update it to the latest version according to the reminders. And Flash Player is pre-installed in Google Chrome and updates automatically.

Adobe is not perfect to work on any browser or any device, so you may want to find the replacements of this software. However, till now, there is not one player that can match Adobe Flash Player for its web viewer as the plug-in on computer or mobile device. But you find Adobe Flash player does not work for you, you can try other tools to play video on your Windows or Mac computer, even your Android phone or iPad or iPhone as the emergency measure.

Compared with the above Adobe Flash Player replacements, Free Media Player is one player program not based on the web. Web player is easy to use on the web, but they may be not compatible with any video from any platform. On my last flight all the features of the free entertainment worked except for the live TV. Music, games, recorded shows, flight tracker all were good. But while the liveguide pulled up, when I clicked on the play button nothing happened. I could see other passengers watching live tv. I was using a Samsung tablet android (TM-320 Android Version 4.4.2). Seems strange that other features worked except for the live. I tried Firefox and chrome browsers, cleared cache and restarted but no go. Anybody else have this or similar issue?

I have a Samsung phone which uses Android 5.0.2 Here is how I solved Dish live TV access problem: Download "Airtime Player" app. Download "FlashFox" browser. When on your flight, set phone to airplane mode. Set phone to wifi access. Open southwest.com from FlashFox browser. Select Live TV option. All of the apps above are free. The reason for the problem is that Android is not compatible with Adobe Flash. Dish TV signal format is Adobe Flash. FlashFox allows the Android device to open the Android flash format. Do not try to download Adobe Flash from a third party site, as you are likely to get a virus and have to reset your device. This happened to me. But all is well now.
