The Natural • Solo Exhibition With Ross Hulkes at The Front, New Orleans

Dear Friends,

I am happy to announce an upcoming exhibition at The Front artist space in New Orleans, Louisiana. Partnering with independent writer, Ross Hulkes, this exhibition will function as an accompaniment to a jointly produced publication, Ode to Panacea. In this work, Hulkes' writing aims to reconceptualize the terms through which we view political participation, activism and the horizon of the possible. In addition to 11 tracts on topics such as sovereignty, empire, invention and wage labor, artworks are interlaced featuring cloud formations partnered with forces of the political and social landscape - an alignment to question what has become the disturbingly natural and sublime condition of our own environment.

The gallery installation will include one large-scale charcoal wall drawing of a cloud formation and its related text as well as a public art installation in The Front's backyard space.
