Krisis the son of a Pentecostal preacher. When Kris falls in love with a Muslim woman who had already been in two arranged marriages, his father is dismayed. Kris and Lensa want each other to convert to their respective religions which leaves them, and their families, at odds. Will one of them leave their religion entirely, even if it means never speaking to their family again? Or will the pressure be too much for the relationship to handle?

This question appears to be off-topic because asking what to write or asking for help rephrasing a sentence or passage are both off-topic here, as such questions are very unlikely to help anybody else.

I have two characters, a boy named Kai and a girl named Raya. They also are stuck in a love triangle with another boy named Alejandro but Kai and Raya aren't allowed to be lovers. Raya and Alejandro are still allowed to be in love but Raya doesn't know which one she loves. Alejandro liked her because she was kind and strong but Kai liked her since they were kids.

Develop your characters: Kai and Raya should have distinct personalities, backgrounds, and motivations that make them relatable and interesting to readers. It's important to explore their thoughts and feelings about each other, as well as the reasons why they are forbidden to be together. This will help readers empathize with them and become invested in their story.

Create tension and conflict: You'll obviously explore what exactly prevents the couple from being together. Is it social norms, family expectations, or personal beliefs? Think about what is keeping Kai and Raya apart and how this conflict can escalate throughout the story. This will keep readers engaged and eager to see what happens next.

Show, don't tell: Instead of simply telling readers that Kai and Raya are in love, show them through their actions and dialogue. This can include subtle gestures, meaningful glances, and intimate conversations that reveal their true feelings for each other.

Explore themes: Forbidden love stories often touch on themes such as loyalty, sacrifice, and the power of love. Consider what themes you want to explore in your story and how they can be integrated into the plot and character development.

Avoid stereotypes: Love triangles can be a common trope in fiction, but it's important to avoid falling into stereotypes and cliches. The forbidden love is a common one, so this is something to look out for. And try to give each character depth and complexity, rather than simply portraying them as objects of desire.

JP: Nadya and Malachiasz definitely have an intense forbidden love that in some ways kept reminding of the Buffy/Angel relationship from Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series. Malachiasz is everything that Nadya should--and does--abhor and want to destroy, and yet she finds herself drawn to him nonetheless. Can you talk a little about the dynamic between these two characters?

JP: On a more serious note, I have noticed that you are very specific on line with trigger warnings about the cutting aspect of the blood magic. Were you conscious of this as you wrote? Were there any moments that you found yourself self-censoring?

Italian-American Greenpointers used to come to the wire fence and give them small gifts newspapers, smokes and food. Edith, who lived just down from the camp on Dupont Street and at ninety-three has a strong memory, not only confirmed the existence of the camp, but told me a much more romantic version of the story. One of her friends was a young Italian-American woman who could not help but notice that there were several handsome Italians languishing behind the wire. She struck up a conversation with one good looking soldier and began to visit him bringing him presents each day. Soon love blossomed, even though he was an enemy soldier. She not only fell in love with him, but ended up marrying him and eventually securing his release. In 1945 the camp was closed and the Italians, save at least one, were sent back to their homeland.

The prisoner compound did exist there. My mother told me of how she and her two older sisters would bring food gifts for some of the prisoners. I cannot tell you the exact location since I never asked. However; when next I write to my Aunt who is now 102 years young, I will ask her about it with more detail.

As soon as I read about the Italian prisoners in Greenpoint, I knew she told me the truth. They and I were born there. We were all Irish.

Kings have given up their thrones for love. The most famous example in recent times is Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson. But there was another, more recent king who gave up his throne for love, and this story is not so well known.

A Protectorate is a dependent territory that has local autonomy. During the British Empire, Protectorates were often established to keep other colonising powers away from colonies that were distant from the centre of empire, without having to spend Treasury finances on government and infrastructure.

There were protests in Britain and in Bechuanaland against the decision to exile the couple, and when the British High Commission ordered the Bamangwato people to replace Khama as chief, the people refused.

Khama instituted strong measures against corruption. His administration adopted market-friendly policies to foster economic development. Khama promised low and stable taxes to mining companies, liberalized trade, and increased personal freedoms. He maintained low marginal income tax rates to deter tax evasion and corruption. He upheld liberal democracy and non-racism. He embraced the rule of law.

I knew a bit about Botswana because my American brother-in-law lived there for a while in the 1990s, when he was a volunteer with the Peace Corps. He says that Lady Khama, as Ruth Williams became known, was often seen out and about, and that she was a widely loved figure.

It's October and you know what that means?! Gothic romance! As romance comic fans we are in for quite the treat this year. Over the summer, DC Comics announced they would be bringing back the Gothic romance with a three-part miniseries -- Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love.

I was provided an advanced reader copy of issue one and I think you are really going to like this homage to the Gothic romances of the '70s and the clever use of Deadman (AKA Boston Brand).* I had the opportunity to speak with the writer of the new series (and fellow romance comic book fan), Sarah Vaughn, about the project:

Deadman sounds like the perfect character for this project and I love that the Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love title is being used. How excited were you to be asked to be a part of such a unique project?

And I certainly hope that romance comics fans will enjoy the book! I wanted it to feel familiar in a way to the gothic romances of the 1960s and '70s, but the flow and length are definitely a bit different."

How were you inspired by the 1970s Gothic romances published by DC Comics? Were there any specific styles, stories, or artists from the original Gothic romances that you drew inspiration from to create this homage?

But what excited me was when I first read issue 1 of The Sinister House of Secret Love, a year or two ago. It was basically a novella, and the first I had ever read of that length in American comics. One issue was one story, the end. I wanted to spend even more time with the characters, so to have it be a limited series that was a bit longer really worked for me.

"The Darkness is an entity of dark energy that wreaks havoc on the living, and figuring out what is actually going on at Glencourt Manor is a huge part of the book. Every character is touched by love and relationship in their own way."

Thank you, Sarah! To dive into the whole mystery of Glencourt Manor, be sure to pick up Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love #1 tomorrow at your local comic book shop! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new series so feel free to leave a comment below or find me on Facebook or Twitter!

Albus never felt the need to confess his love to Scorpius. But as time goes by, it becomes more and more difficult to keep it a secret - especially in their sixth year and Scorpius was the only one in Albus' life with whom he felt understood. And they have to hide their connection from their families because their families still hate eachother - that makes it not easier.

Lan is a soft-spoken and gentle young woman with a unique green thumb. She works part-time as a florist and lives next to a a noodles restaurant called Pigsy's Noodles, alongside an optimistic young boy by the name of MK, who serves as the delivery boy. Despite the demanding work and rough city life, Lan couldn't be any more content with her life.

Her peaceful lifestyle abruptly comes to an end when the Demon Bull King is released from his prison after thousands of years of imprisonment. The trouble seems to grow when MK is chosen to be none other than the successor of the famous Monkey King himself, as he is the one to wield his mighty staff.

She wasn't so naive as to not understand what had just happened, and truth be told, she should have expected it: when had fate ever decided to be on her side? Why not make things even more complicated and imprint on a vampire? And not just a vampire who showed up to help the Cullens, no, absolutely not. A member of the Volturi guard, a monster.

Author's note: This is not just the story of Leah's imprinting and how her relationship with Felix evolved, it is above all about giving a second chance to a character who I believe deserved much more.

They have every reason to hate eachother, but neither can ignore the spark between them. Two sides of the same coin: Negan and Dice must learn to abandon old feuds and hurt feelings in exchange for a brighter future between their communities, but will their people accept the love between the unlikely pair?

In Rome, an ancient vampire's solitary life is disrupted when a vampire hunter resembling her lost love arrives, forcing them into a dangerous struggle between passion and duty as they confront the looming threat of the vampire council.
