thegame contains a synchronization error between the vram upload and vsync process.

desmume contains imperfect timing. the bug manifests on flash cards as well due to their minor effects on the game timing.

it is a well known problem with heartgold and soulsilver.

it won't be fixed because the timing of emulation cannot be perfect within our lifetimes and it all we can do right now is randomly fudge things around which will break other games in more severe ways.

The results is... If you wanna play this games, just be careful! Just save and save and save! Go inside any buildings by door and go outside back for safe

mode. I also play this games long time ago, until random glitches appear. If the games was crashed out, reset the games and continue playing the games.

i had this issue with the sprites glitching and turning to black screen had to save ingame and restart the emulator but may have found the problem its been working fine for me since i did this my emulator was going faster than normal like 4x faster i dont know why but i slowed it down to normal speed and havent had the problem since (Go to config then frame skip and make sure limit framerate is ticked and 0 never skip is ticked) it fixed it for me and i think what was happining was the game was speed up too fast the game was glitching hope this helps

nope, speeding up the game is invisible to the game. most people are encountering this bug (if they are using an old version of desmume; none of them are encountering it if using a recent build) while running at 1.0 speed. but thanks for sharing your thoughts.

In Pokemon Soul Silver, whenever I run into the tall grass a level 1 turtwig comes up. This is pretty weird as Soul Silver is Gen 2 and Turtwig is from Gen 4. I caught one an its lvl 18 Grotle. I think this bug might be fixed by maybe releasing Grotle, but I'm not too keen to try it. Can anyone help me? Also I need a water type because that's the only way to get to ecruteak city. There is another bug aswell. In the game corner (Goldenrod city) I always get 3 on the cards so I can get 50 000 coins in just 2 rows! Also I can get lots of dratinis I know that one is good but the turtwig one is annoying. Can someone also tell me how to level up an abra if all it knows is teleport. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME THIS IS SO ANNOYING

I've tried countless ROMs, patches, and codes, nothing works. Should I try starting over, but this time instead of using savesates saving natively? I don't want to bother starting over if this isn't the problem. If anyone has a solution to the game freezing at this point or the game freezing when attempting to save, I would appreciate it. the problem is quite simple, find a cleaner version of the game or if you are using codes. disable all of them using the menu while on battle. patched roms for Desmume works only if the patched that was used is the fix for the game's AP that is specific for the game , this type of problem arises when multiple patches were used on the game file

I know that I'm just asking for the ones that appear in high grass. After reading the Locations I wonder what the Sinnoh R. and Hoen R. stand for. I second what Light968 said. I stopped playing when I didn't see Kyogre in the list, because with only Groudon it would be impossible to catch Rayquaza. and that was my endgame idea. have Rayquaza. any explanation would be awesome. thank you.

but now that I am thinking about it, I could just use Perfect Heart Gold and catch Kyogre in the event and Groudon on route 43. then I'd be pretty much set am I right? but thats the problem with Perfect Soul Silver. obtaining Rayquaza may have been overlooked. unless your pokemon location lists are wrong. they're identical to eachother.

Is there someone that knows how to change the uppercase Pokmon names into lowercase? Usually you can do it with the randomizer, but it can't open the patched rom. I also tried to use the randomizer first, but then the patched file that is created doesn't work (it becomes a 0kb file). I can live without it, but still, it bothers me quite a bit so I would like to find a solution if possible

If you get one from the in-game event, the other is in the wild and would be on the location list. Inaccuracies have been found in it before as you would find if you read through past comments, so it is possible that the list creator made some mistakes.

I honestly never proof-checked it, as it was made quite awhile after I finished the project. It was only ever meant as a light supplementary guide anyway

Hi @Roland. Are you able to fix the Rage Candy? I found a way to change it from key item to medicine item with the original G/S/C effect, but this made it giveable, instead I want to make it like the apricorn balls ungiveable to avoid compatibility issues with retail versions. Is determined by the index number, if I move the sport ball in the medicine pocket and I change it to rage candy as example remain ungiveable. Then there is a list for the "banned" give items. Do you know how find it?

Hello, brand new player here. I'm having a problem where Slowpoke isn't evolving into Slowking. She's already past level 40 and She has the king's rock. Did the rules in this romhack change or something? Does she have to go from level 39 and reach 40 exactly while holding the king's rock? Does she have to be male?
