Hi
The Situation: I got a 3,2GB File created with dd from a harddisk. Now
if I want to make md5sum (or sha1 or gpart it) I receive a 'file too
large'. This happens also with other files bigger than 2,1gb, but I
got no problem to create those huge files. It doesn't matter on which
partition i put the file, everywhere the same error (everywhere
ext2fs). If I md5sum (or openssl/gpart) a huge file on a nfs-share on
an other machine from this one, it works. If I md5sum from an other
machine on the nfs-share on this machine I receive an "Input/output
error".
System is Debian 3.0, kernel 2.4.19.

I'm confused, libs and kernel seem okay and I'm sure it worked once on
this machine. Any clues, suggestions, do you need more information?

Thankx in advance
