I just installed, from a CD, Debian onto an Apple Mac Pro PPC G5:

Linux G5Debian 3.2.0-4-powerpc64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.63-2+deb7u1 ppc64

Installation went with no errors, but upon first boot, I see a black screen and a white arrow cursor that moves when I move my mouse. I hit control-option-F1 and am in the shell.

lspci gives

0001:06:03.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO] (rev 01)
0000:f0:10.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI RV350 AP [Radeon 9600]

what do I need to do, at boot time or in some config file, to get my graphical environment to work properly with the video cards I have? I've got a VGA port and 3 PCI ports; should I be using one over the other?
