How to play a stream using Darwin Streaming server

Hi,
I want to capture an external stream (say, from a camera) and
unicast it using Darwin Streaming server. What I want is unicasting
the stream to the clients. So I can't use Reflection or Relaying. I
have the source code of DSS for Linux. I need to modify it so that
instead of playing a movie file from Hard Disk, I can unicast the
stream itself .
The problem is that even after having a thorough look into the
code, I could not find the method used for playing a file from Hard
Disk. If I get it, half of my work is done.
