I would like to pre-announce that churro, the i18n server kindly
donated by Extremadura, is up and running. I'm sorry for the delay,
a kernel upgrade was needed and it took me some extra time to
check everything.
Everything was restored and reconfigured, you should be able
to access the wiki using: http://i18n.debian.net/wiki
There is nothing running at the "webroot", which means that
i18n.debian.net will redirect you to the wiki page. Pootle is ready
to start running, but I'm waiting to talk with i18n to be sure that
is what we want to do. ;-)
SSH is available and Nicolas is speaking with Holger to upload
the videos to meeting-archives. Everything that we left on the
server is still there. We also win an extra hard disk to use as a
backup disk and to work with the po/pot files for Pootle.
I'm not quite sure how we should announce it, but I think we
are ready to do so. Kind regards,

We should build a small announcement explaining the current situation
with a running Pootle server....but nothing production-ready behind
it, yet.
It should be made clear that the server is currently in its setup
phase and opened for experiments.
The Pootle install should probably be polished...at least enough to
allow for something working as a possible testbed for
pootle.debian.org.
I could consider setting up the import/export for the D-I level 1
files (making it clear that this is *experimental* and certainly not
to use in production for the work on etch installer translations).
For this, I might need an SSH account, possibly in the "pootle" group
if there's one used for files stored by the Pootle server.
What about transdict chroot? Is it still there? How do I enter in the
transdict chroot (I don't need the accout and password ;-) )
I have made some improvements in transdict (upstream) and I am eager
to implement them ;-) .

They are now available at:
http://meetings-archive.debian.net/pub/debian-meetings/2006/i18n-extremadura/
(The index page and licence of the videos should come after a
synchornization of the server).

This will also have to be announced (in the same announcement? What
mailing list (d-d-a or debian-i18n only)?
The announcement for the videos should wait for the index.html and COPYING
files. Holger told me the server should be synchronized every 6 hours.
Kind Regards,

Please prepare it already, then send it to d-d-a as a followup for my
meeting report announcement (I guess that your post will need
moderation as you're not DD but it won't certainly be a problem....and
I prefer this over one of us DD's to post the announcment).
Great job, Nicolas.
Can we coordinate for only one announcement? I can prepare
the server announcement with the information Christian outlined
in the last messages. We can proof read on this list and Nicolas
can announce it on d-d-a. Or should we do two announcements?
Kind regards,

There is still there, but not available yet. I did not work on that,
I will try to get it ready during the weekend so you can work on
it.

Well, I think that one annoucement for the availability of videos and
another one for the i18n server are better. These are two completely
separate issues, IMHO.
