Hello,

Thank you for your mail. It would be a pleasure if we all could hold a release
party for Stretch in Beijing together.

I'm sure that besides the attendees of LinuxCon, there are also many local
enthusiasts and Debian contributors looking forward to joining the party.
Unfortunately AFAICT known active native DD/DMs in Beijing all have busy
personal schedules and might not be able to join the party, which is a pity.
(BTW I'm not a DD/DM.)

I'm wondering if you have any preference on the activity site and time. As an
option, Tsinghua TUNA Association [1] is willing to provide a medium-sized
meeting room as the activity site inside Tsinghua University [2] on the
afternoon of June 17th. Please let us know if there are other alternative
options for the activity.

Thank you for your replies. :) It would be great if a "local" could take
this over, at least to pick a time/date -- we can always change it later

Sounds like it could work, and is a very kind offer. Just checking on two
things though; a) is it easy to get to? b) A "meeting room" perhaps sounds
a little impersonal for a party, don't you think? :) Would glad to be
corrected.

a) It should be easy to access as long as people can enter Tsinghua
University.

b) Indeed a classroom or meeting room might not be optimal to hold a party.

Tong Hui, is it possible for Beijing LUG to help find a suitable place for a
party? For example, a reservation of cafe or simular places in the afternoon/
evening might be better. Do you have any better idea?

Hello all,

I just had a discussion with Tong Hui and Tsinghua TUNA Association about the
schedule around Release Party. Here's an appropirate arrangement:

* Activity will begin at around 2 p.m. on Jun. 17th at the meeting room, where
university students, enthusiasts and Debian contributors may have free
discussions and Q/A around their works and character in Debian and FOSS
community. GPG signing may happen as well.

Talks or keynotes/presentations are not required, but that is acceptable if
enthusiasts are willing to show their certain works. Projector available in
the room.

* After that, it is planned to find a cafe (most likely in Tsinghua University)
and continue the Party with some drinks. Discussions and conversations may
continue.

As for native DDs, the latest news is that one DD (aron) might show up at the
party, but not 100% certain.

What: Debian Stretch Release Celebration, some free talks, Q&A, GPG signing,

location for 50 people, a projector?

Bring: Yourself with laptop or other device, GPG keys/fingerprints (if any),

参与无需任何费用，这是庆祝活动不是正式会议，请见上述链接 [1]。

但如果要参与晚餐的话餐饮费用自理，当然路费也请自理。

我 2015 年去台湾旅游过一次，为了办理入台证，资料准备了 10 多项，前前后后一个多月时间吧。

要去的，现在就可以开始准备了。

我看了下日程，有一个一天的活动，其中有个地方，竟然还不让大陆居民参观，真是莫名其妙！

我不是developer, 然而，在Debian Developers的協助下，已經19年未使用Linux以外的桌面系統，非常愉快，

邊境造成的困擾，真是麻煩; 不過，好像也沒什麼解決方案，大家就繼續忍耐吧！

居然把「不让大陆居民参观」的地方列出來，算是「洩露機密」，我也覺得 "莫名其妙"。不要理它，其他好玩好看的地方多得是。

在The Day Trip will be held Wednesday. August 1, 2018. 有個 Biking Tour
D，還不錯。
吹海風、舒展身心，很多在地的小朋友、大朋友陪您一起騎自行車。去了好幾回，每次都很愉快。
我有多次環台騎自行車的經驗，屆時一定可以陪同各位一起暢騎。
