I was struggling with setting up a Traefik reverse proxy for my docker containers, I only got 502 responses with a no route error to my container from Traefik logs. At first I thought it was my Traefik setup but it turned out it was the firewall restrictions as @al. mentioned. It seems to relate to the issue that also appears when running docker login :

If this command returns a value, the Docker client is set to connect to a Dockerdaemon running on that host. If it's unset, the Docker client is set to connectto the Docker daemon running on the local host. If it's set in error, use thefollowing command to unset it:

In this scenario, the message is a cryptic way of telling you that the download failed. Piping these two steps together is nice when it works, but it kind of breaks the error reporting -- especially when you use wget -q (or curl -s), because these suppress error messages from the download step.
Make sure your internet connection is working correctly, and there are no firewall rules or other network restrictions preventing the secure connection to the "download.docker.com" server. You can try accessing the URL directly in your web browser to check if it's accessible.
I am a bit lost on what I can do
It is not a DNS problem since I can ping server or CURL http content on port 80. It only related to SSL connections.
Is there someone here with any idea about this issue?
This indicates that you either (a) don't have a properly configured DNS server or (b) your network configuration isn't correct and you can't connect to a DNS server to check the hostname mirrorlist.centos.org.
Hello, i have some docker containers running on my server. I have just opened port 80 and 433 on my router. anche checked if my domain works. I try to create a certificate for home assistant, so i stopped pihole container and i run certbot wit sudo certbot certonly. I use standalone method but it doesn't work. I think my domain is no reachable, can someone help me?
An HTTP connection is required to use the HTTP Challenge. To test HTTP you must have something running and listening on that port. With Certbot standalone you must leave it paused / running to test connecting to it. Or, if you have some other software to run on that port you can use that.
Success! We were able to connect to the application running inside of our container on port 8000. Switch back to the terminal where your container is running and you should see the POST request logged to the console.
I believe infowx9tw had the 192.168.1.77 adress. I have disconnected the wired ethernet from the TX2 so the only physical route to it is through the USB. I cannot ping nor ssh 192.168.1.77. I can connect the ethernet cable to the TX2 and see if I get a connection then. Would that be useful?
For my problem is I can ping to Jetson TX2 from host ubuntu 18.04 as ping 192.168.55.1
but I cannot ssh from host to Jetson TX2 as
ssh 192.168.55.1, result is connection refused.

I have been trying to install Portworx on on-prem kubernetes cluster. I was able to generate the spec file from px-central console. I applied the file against my kubernetes cluster but the portworx-api pods fail to come up. I then tried to collect the logs for Portworx using the command:

Of course, port 80 and 443 are forwarded to my PC on the router config and I have bought a static IP address. Other servers do work over internet and I can run nginx and see it over my public IP address.
So the to-be-router arrived, installed proxmox and a Debian container with caddy. I changed the ports on my router to go to my container and Caddy just started working. It appears that the issue is specifically on my PC but I have no idea why. All of my firewalls were disabled on my PC.

There is an additional security restriction imposed by powershell remoting when connected over HTTP on a non domain joined (work group) environment. If there is any block set in the server by a firewall, then there are a lot of chances for the wget command not to work. In other words, a firewall filters most of the unwanted connections. Thus, the wget command failed to work.
