kafka topics are not getting deleted after stopping the standalone connector

Hi,

I am starting the kafka standalone connector using cli, when i stop the connector using cntl-c the kafka topics created by the connector are not getting deleted. 

Is this behaviour is correct ? 

or what is the correct way to start, stop the kafka connect service.

I'm not sure what you mean by "standalone connector". In any case, any topics created by the Debezium connectors won't be automatically deleted. Instead, it's a question of configuring the Kafka broker and/or individual topics how long specific messages should be retained and a question of using the right commands in Kafka to delete topics entirely.
