Hello everyone -

Since Debezium joined the Commonhaus Foundation in late 2024, we've been aligning our procedures and workflows with foundation policies [1]. One of our most recent announcements about this effort is our transition from Jira to GitHub Issues [2] for issue tracking.

Starting January 2026, Debezium will begin to require all commits be signed-off under the Developer Certificate of Origin (DCO) process. This aligns us with Commonhaus Foundation standards and industry best practices.

For details on how to prepare and how to work with Debezium's new contribution process, please see our latest blog post [3].

We appreciate the community's understanding as we continue to improve our processes.

Thanks,
Debezium maintainers
