How to use debezium for mysql to kafka without using Docker images?

Our server does not support docker, I was thinking if i can link the debezium connector to the existing sql db that is running

Sure, you can do that, Debezium isn't tied to Docker.

You'd just have to run ZooKeeper, Kafka and Connect yourself. And of course the Debezium connector you'd like to use needs to be added to the Connect's plug-in path.

You could take a look at the Kafka and Connect docs:

    https://kafka.apache.org/quickstart

This should give you a starting point. You also can take a look at our Docker images (https://github.com/debezium/docker-images/) to see what they configure and run.
