Jitsi panel login requires gitlab - help!

Hi conference organizers,

I am speaking in the panel https://debconf24.debconf.org/talks/71-is-there-a-role-for-debian-in-the-post-open-source-era/

in a few hours. I have a conference URL of https://jitsi.debian.social/alikeprescriptionspersuadeuneasily

to join the panel. I tried the "Join" button and it sent me to https://salsa.debian.org/users/sign_in

I created a login there but this needs to be approved. I don't have a clue why Jitsi is connected to gitlab.
