Individual rights should be subordinate to national security

 

Proposition:

·         People will be safer because criminals will be taken off the streets

·         Not being scared for the lives of your family members is more important than individual rights

·         People coming into the country illegally will be caught

·         Giving up your individual rights is a small price to pay for assurance of your safety

·         The country will have a lower crime rate causing more tourists to come

 

Opposition:

·         Your privacy will be invaded

·         There will be no limit to our rights that will be taken away from us

·         Our every move will be monitored and it will be like we are in slavery

·         When you take away one persons rights others will be affected
