Job Announcement
Ang Khmer Group, a translation agency since 2002 serving
several clients from national and international agencies, institutions, multinational
companies, local businesspeople, media as well as international researchers and
students.
We are looking for full time translators/interpreters in Chinese, Thai,
Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, English and other languages. Part time
interpreters should be able to work full day at least 2 days per week according
to clients and are willing to commit to be with Ang Khmer Group more than one
year.
1. Applicants should have knowledge in education,
health, environment, rural development, poverty reduction, law &
regulations, media & advertisement, transportation & logistics,
agriculture, investment, industry & energy, mineral exploration,
construction & chemical, food & catering, beauty & cosmetic,
advocacy issues, gender, human rights, labor & employment, government
strategies & policies, youth & child issues, banking,
telecommunications and ICT, and several official ceremony documents and press
kits.
2. Successful translators should have a good regular contact with several experts in over 99 different fields as well as native languages Chinese, Thai, French, Vietnamese, English and other languages.
3. They can also listen carefully and accurately as well as take note by typing in computer while national and international speaking at the same time.
4. Successful translators/interpreters should be more than 23 years old that have more than five years experiences with Bachelor degree or higher.
5. Being able to communicate by e-mail every ten minutes and familiar with
Gmail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Visio, PDF Professional
version 8 or 9, Photoshop, and others are also encouraged.
6. However, must be excellent in protecting confidentiality (own modems, not using internet in public area), computer security, virus protection, compatibility of software that consistent with Khmer Unicode, Limon and other languages.
7. Applicants should be fluent in Khmer spelling (Unicode and Limon) and be able to search key terms, positions, and spelling from several good dictionaries, yellow pages, who is who, government ministries websites (over 30 websites), google.com, news collections and several libraries.
