Warm Greetings to all Debaters and Adjudicators!

The Debate Club, DA-IICT would like to cordially invite you to participate in SENATE PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE 2015, as an integral part of the much acclaimed SYNAPSE 2015, the annual techno-cultural festival of Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar.

The event is scheduled from

27^th February – 1^st March

SENATE PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE is the annual debating tournament organized by the Debate Club, DAIICT. Continuing the impressive journey that it has had over the years since its inception, SENATE 2015 is bound to be even bigger and a better event. Reiterating its tradition, SENATE foresees a prestigious participation from all over India.

SENATE 2014 was a grand event with attractive prize money of 1.5 lakhs on stake. The prize money this year will undoubtedly be even bigger.

Joining us as our first Core Adjudicator is Tarang Tripathi (Ex-Hindu). The names of other Core Adjudicators will be announced soon. Till then, Register your teams over here.

Senate follows a 3-on-3 Asian Parliamentary Debate format. Senate prides itself with its unique motions and an unparalleled debating experience.

If that is not enough, there is more to entice and convince you to be a part of this intellectually engaging tournament. SENATE happens to be the other half of SYNAPSE, the annual cultural festival of DA-IICT. SYNAPSE is the second largest annual celebration cum festival organized in the vibrant state of Gujarat which serves as an altar of fashion, style, music, art, literature, innovation and creativity. It has served as a rendezvous to artists, icons and bands like Javel Ali, Raghu Dixit, Kiran Bedi, Tochi Raina, Indian Ocean, Agnee, Demonic Resurrection, Mother Jane, Bhayanak Maut, Aditya Narayan, Sapan Verma, Sahil Shah, Dr Kumar Vishwas, Swedish Band NALE and many others.

We would be releasing the names of the other Core Adjudicators along with the prize money on our website and Facebook page soon.

We cordially invite college teams and cross-teams from within and outside India for their gracious presence.

Number of Adjudicators required: n+1 (n: number of teams)

Maximum 3 teams are allowed from one college. Teams will be provided slots on the basis of overall registration dynamics. We have a team cap of 30 teams and the slots will be given on first come first served basis. You will have to send us your travel tickets to block your slots.

Register Latest By 22^nd January, 2015.

The final participating teams will be released on our website and our Facebook Page.

Please note that Cross College teams are allowed.

The participants will have the freedom to participate in other competitions of the fest as well provided they are able to manage it along with the debate.

The registration fee is Rs. 500 excluding the accommodation charges.
