Ladies and Gentlemen, 

Literary and Debating Society, CoLS, UPES is proud to announce the Committees of UPES Youth Parliament 2015; the first of it's kind in the beautiful state of Uttarakhand. The conference is scheduled to happen between February 19, 2015 and February 21, 2015. We would appreciate  participation from your college in the said event.

1. LOK SABHA : The Lok Sabha would be deliberating on

a. The Lokpal and Lokayuktas and other related Law (Amendment) 
Bill, 2014;
b. The Major Shift in Foreign Policy of India and it's implications;
c. Discussing the viability of an Anti Conversion Law as proposed by 
the Government of India.
Executive Board: Aaron Mirza (Speaker) and Joshika Saraf (Dy Speaker)

2. Rajya Sabha : The Upper House of the Parliament shall debate 
and discuss two major bills that are pending:

a. The Constitution (119th Amendment) Bill, 2013 (India 
Bangladesh border agreement); 
b. The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill, 2014.
Executive Board: Harshit Rana(Chairman) and Kshitij Vaibhav (Scribe)

3. All India Parties Meet : 

(A) Review of article 370 of the Constitution of India
(B) Naxalism as a threat to national integration
(C) Making way towards a uniform civil code.

Registration Fee Details: 

For Members who  don't require accommodation:

 

The registration fees for the 3 day conference including the participation certificate, conference kit and lunch on all three days including transport from certain points in the city to the venue and back would be a subsidized Rs. 1000/-

 

For outstation members :

 

With accommodation: Rs. 1500/- (this includes travel from the hotel to venue and back, 3 square meals from 18th Dinner to 21st Lunch, accommodation from 18th Evening to 21st afternoon, conference kit and your participation certificate)

 

 

Without accommodation : Rs. 1000/- (The registration fees for the 3 day conference including the participation certificate, conference kit and lunch on all three days including transport from certain points in the city to the venue and back.)

 

Out station participants are to send in their train / bus / flight tickets scanned copies by Tuesday, Feb 18, 2015.
