I think the evidence is very subtle, but it is there if you have a sincere, open heart, love truth, and you diligently pursue it. As a liberal Christian I am despised by both anti-theists and conservative "Christians," alike. I have no problem condemning the hypocrisy of the old farts in the Vatican, the televangelists who literally live like billionaires in excess luxury, the so-called moral majority but self-righteous and hypocritical right-wing, anti-abortion catholics and protestants, etc.,... The hypocrite Christians will get their just due as the Bible promises. Secular humanists will fare better on judgment day than will any pedophile priests or two-faced politicians. But I assert that anti-theists who condemn all theism and all theists are the worst of the worst. BTW I do distinguish atheists from anti-theists. I have no quarrel with atheism if it is secular humanism with observing The Golden Rule. But I assert that having a religious faith can have a foundation built upon reason combined with faith. The religious folk have to be willing to discard cherished tradition, brain-washing and indoctrination -- in favor of truth. The atheists have to be willing to be open-minded as well. In my opinion there are millions of people today who practice a religious faith, and among these very same people includes those who have high I.Q.s. Yes, even scientists! They are not stupid, gullible, or naive. They perceive that there is, in all likeliness, a Supreme Being who is responsible for the cosmos and the world in which they find themselves. I assert that the soul continues to exist after the death of the physical body. The soul,or mind, or spirit if you will, does not simply cease to exist at death. Okay? And as absurd as it may sound to a "rational" anti-theist, I'm telling you that I have had a near-death experience and I have spoken with spirits. I also give testimony here that I have prayed to God and my prayers were answered. And finally, I do not understand it all, and I concede that I can't fathom God, but I sense that God is as real as I am. Certainly, no less.
