Terrific low profile T5 light
By Rick
This is about as slimline as you can get for a fluorescent fixture. Mine is suspended about 10 ft. above the floor from wall hooks in the main room of my house that has high vaulted ceilings. It illuminates a platform about 3 feet below the fixture where I am attempting to grow dragon fruit cactus (in Seattle). I built a simple wood frame around the sides that matches the trim in the room, and it blends right in when viewed from across the room. The included wire hanger is almost invisible as well. The growth on my plants has taken off with this lamp on 8 hours a day. Much cheaper to purchase and power than metal halide alternatives. I'm very pleased.

Grest for growing plants in Veg
By Anthony E. Marquette
This light is awesome. I use it for the Veg cycle of my Marijuana plants. Their lush green. I recommend this 100% for weed in veg. Much cheaper power bill too!.

This is a really great light.
By Justin Edwards
I've just gotten into hydroponic vegetable gardening. I started out with a small DWC system coupled with a hydrofarm FLP24 which has had amazing results. My plants are outgrowing it, and it's way too hot outside to move anything out no matter how much hardening the plants have. I bought this light to expand my growing coupled with some mylar film to allow the light to scatter around well.
This fixture is more expensive than the plain envirogro light, but I'd already had the designer model in the smaller version, and it looks great and weighs less, so I am fine with spending a little extra.
I plan on adding some 2700k T5HO bulbs to mix it up a little later on.
I've done a lot of extensive research into growing under HPS, T5, CFL, and LEDs, for indoor vegetable growing for hobby, or even for even for commercial use if you live in a really hot area, I think it is worth while to go with this kind of light. LED is just too expensive still, no matter how long the claimed lifetime is, and unless you build your own LED system with Drivers and lenses, you are taking a big risk with your dollars.
