macOS Sierra dynamic linker limit

I am hitting run-time error of the form:

36: dyld: Library not loaded: /dealii-develop-cymbkwb6lxj7ttkk3vfdfuua3oto5tlv/lib/libdeal_II.8.5.0-pre.dylib

36:   Referenced from: /blabla/executable.release

36:   Reason: no suitable image found.  Did find:

36: /dealii-develop-cymbkwb6lxj7ttkk3vfdfuua3oto5tlv/lib/libdeal_II.8.5.0-pre.dylib: malformed mach-o: load commands size (34832) > 32768

I see similar issues online for other cases: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/39646221/stack-gives-dyld-malformed-mach-o

If anyone has any idea how to solve the issue apart from downgrading to ElCapitan, that would be great...

p.s. deal.II build is for the current development version (i.e. c00b1f9d7a0422507d6428b8d428a470838e592b) with everything (including python bindings) but OCE.

after digging more i found out that it has to do with extra not needed LC_RPATH load commands added by Spack
