Hi! What's the biggest Hard Drive I can attach to the NAS?

I have a 2T drive attached. on my 650BT device. The format utility in Snake does not work for large drives but if you format and partition the drive on another computer then it will work properly when attached.

I don't know if a 3TB drive that is intended to work with an OS that has proper support past the old 2TB limit, will work.

I do know that many older hardware devices (like our ASTONE/ZIMMWEL DTV PVR) max out at 1.5TB drives.

I know that XP maxes out at the old 2TB limit on NTSC, although there is supposed to be support of XFAT.

And those funky SEAGATE external USB drives with work-around that lets machines running XP see a 3TB drive - those drives are not recognized by our 662. PLuging them in makes the 662 Snake OS stall for some time before the OS finally gives up.

There doesn't seem to be any development on this project for some time now.
Does anyone know oif there is any likely hood of an update to support larger drives in the near future?

Or is it time to look else where, as I have no drives that I can now use on my device :(

How large? My 2T drive works OK but the drives larger than 1T? must be partitioned and formatted on another computer.
I have abandoned my snake OS device and went to a Raspberry Pi board.  Runs Debian off a SD card and can't be 'bricked'
See my page for info;

I'm using a 2TB hard drive and it work perfect.
I use a 2TB hard drive because I read somewhere that it's the maximum.
