Dear DPN Patrons and Guests,

It is with mixed feelings that I write to you all regarding this
matter on hand. First I wanted to take a moment to Thank You All for
your Support in attending the various DPN events in the past 4 years
since I started coordinating it in July 2007. It has been a very
interesting yet Wonderful Experience for me and those who were on the
DPN committee in the past. I’ve watched it grow and evolve over the
years, it’s almost like watching a child grow and change for the
better. DPN has succeeded it’s mission in bringing together the
scattered San Diego Deaf Community together, new friends and new
connections had been made/discovered through those events.

It is on a BitterSweet note that I will be Officially Retiring DPN on
it’s 4th Year Anniversary on July 8th 2011 (2nd Friday of July this
Summer). I would appreciate it if you all can please mark your
calendars for this Final DPN Event to Attend and Partake in the Final
Memorable DPN, let’s make this last one the biggest and most
successful one ever!

There are Two More DPN Events Left, the next one will be in Downtown
San Diego on June 3rd and the Final one on July 8th hopefully in
Pacific Beach. I’m currently working on making good deals with both
locations before announcing them.

-------------What Happens Now???-------------------

Now, I know most of you are wondering what would happen after DPN
retires, Worry Not! I have the community’s best interests in heart and
will not leave you all hanging. I just recently had a face-to-face
meeting with the founder of DNO (Deaf Night Out) who is currently
working (overhauling) on their latest website setup and a nationwide
access to all the DNO events in the whole country, I decided to choose
DNO as DPN’s successor solely because it has all the resources and
financial backing to handle a nation-wide service and access, this
will ensure that San Diego is Put On The Map! This means anyone who is
visiting or planning to visit San Diego from other states/cities can
easily look up San Diego’s events and attend; this will provide our
beloved community with the perfect opportunity to make new networking
among the country if not the world. DNO has agreed to start hosting in
August 2011. Once their website is up and running again, I will
provide you all the references, information and links making every
one’s transition go as smoothly as possible. They will provide all
the services that DPN has done so in the past and more on top of that.

More Details to Come on that later…

For now, keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming June 3rd DPN Event, I
should have one Posted by next Monday the 23rd.

Thank You Again!
Warm Regards-
Joey Moss
DPN Coordinator
