Dear friends,

It will be one activity-filled weekend for the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (DLS-CSB SDEAS).

We kick-off with Ami Patria on Feb 2, 3:00 pm at the UP Film Center.  This is the first ever interpretation of Rizal's poems in Sign Language.  The spoken Spanish and English versions will also be shown.  Mr Jose Rizal-Lopez grandson of Paciano Rizal will be our special guest. 

Tickets   are still available at the UP Film Center.

On Sunday, our Deaf students will be competing at the Rotaract Sportsfest in the Rizal Stadium.  We are the only Deaf team to compete against other Rotaract/ Interact schools.  You can drop by to watch and cheer for our players.

February 4-7, the Deaf will go to Congress. We will be working with the Office of Congressman Teddy Casiño and supported by the Office of Congressman Antonio Tinio to make the House of Representatives aware of the Deaf issues, culture and language through an exhibit dubbed an SILENCE PLEASE: READ OUR SIGNS. There will be an opening ceremony on Feb 4, 1:00 pm.  Please do drop by.
