I used to travel as part of my job. Got stuck in Jordan a few years back
when our local agents went bust the night before I arrived. I had to make my
own way up the Jordan valley to somewhewre that would accept credit cards. I
had some sovereigns sewn into my jacket (most of did this in case we ended
up somewhere nasty, sewn in behind button they were never noticed by xray
scans etc) so I booked into an hotel for a couple of nights to sort myself
out.
In the street outside my hotel was a little kiosk run by a blind guy, he was
dependant upon the honesty of the people in the street. In most major
western cities he'd have been standing in the street with no kiosk round
him.
Met up with a couple of lads in the Jordanian army who gave me a lift in the
back of their truck up to the capital, deviating to show me a few things
they felt proud of. They seemed decent enough to me.
These are of course poor arabs, rich arabs are different.
I have worked with most religions at one time or another and spent a few
long nights chatting on the subject. I actually have concerns about where a
couple of other religions are taking their followers as well but I dont
fancy a row.

Your'e probably right, and thanks for taking the trouble, however I think it
was Pitt the Younger when Prime Minister who said 'Evil can only flourish
when good men do nothing' From all the talk at the moment someone is going
to get hurt, and I am not sure the reasons given are good enough to justify
that.
On the darker side of things one could try to out-troll the troll !
Perhaps all the conspiracy theories are in fact generated by various
Government agencies with the purpose of convincing everyone that they are
all-powerful and mysterious.
