Hello. I received a 4-track Tascam MF-PO1 Portastudio for Christmas and I
have a question. I recorded my acoustic guitar on track one and vocals on
tracks 2 and 3. When I listen through my headphones it sounds great
(everything is balanced to my liking and the sound is very clear). However,
as soon as I hook it up to my stereo system (I'm trying to put the cassette
tape I made onto a cd-r) I get extremely low levels (especially on the
guitar, but on vocals too; also, all levels were all the way up except for
the input level which the instruction book says I should have all the way
down), and I get feedback. I have tried connecting the audio out on the
4-track directly to the cd-burner (a stand alone, not a computer one). I
also tried connecting it to the LD/TV and VCR/TAPE 2 inputs on my amplifier
with the same results. Also, I did make sure that the recording levels on
my burner were set apropriatly and I have never had trouble burning from a
cassette tape (I can't put the cassette tape I made in my standard casette
deck because the 4-track records to both sides of the tape).
Thanks so much for any advice :)
