Startprobleme Leo 125

Wer weiss Rat? Mein Leo Bj.99 muckt. Steht er länger als als eine
Woche, springt er nicht mehr an. Nur mit Starthilfekabel und Startpilot
ist da was zu machen. Das kann es doch nicht sein. Meine Werkstatt
spielt das Problem runter, ich würde zuviel Gas geben , das Standgas muß
nachgestellt werden und so weiter. Was mich interessiert, hat einer von
Euch ähnliche Erfahrungen mit seinem Leo gemacht und wie könnte eine
Lösung aussehen?

ich habe ein Jahr lang eine Leo gefahren und ein ähnliches Problem gehabt.
Die Lösung bei mir war ganz einfach: Die Benzinleitung wurde, sobald der
Roller auf dem Hauptständer stand, aus irgendeinem Grund irgendwo
eingeklemmt. (Wo genau - keine Ahnung) Dadurch kam einfach kein Sprit in den
Vergaser oder so ähnlich. Die Werkstatt hat ewig gebraucht um das zu
schnallen. Aber als sie dann die Spritleitung neu verlegte war das Prob weg.

Nach einer Standzeit von 2-3 Tagen sprang er nicht meht an. Damals gab es hier
in der Group einen Hinweis, dass ein Vergaser-Kit von Aprilia eine wesentliche
Besserung bringen sollte. Leider habe ich damals keine Vertragswerkstatt
gefunden, die davon jemals etwas gehört hatte. Im Sommer 99 war ich dann zu
einer routinemäßigen Inspektion. Als ich den Leo abgeholt habe, haben die
Werstattleute so ganz nebenbei erzählt, dass ich ja noch den alten Vergaser
hätte und mein Leo doch sicherlich sehr schlecht anspringen würde. Sie hätten
auf Garantie eine entsprechende Modifikation durchgeführt. Was sie geändert
haben, habe ich leider niemals erfahren. Tatsache ist aber, daß der Leo seit
dieser Zeit problemlos anspringt, auch nach 3 Wochen Standzeit im Winter.

But if it has been left out in the cold for a week it can still be difficult
too start. But it help if you tip the scooter over to the left while
starting it. Just lean it as far down you can (without the plastic touching
the ground), and run the starter. Remenber only to run the starter for
10-15sek at a time wait ~20s and try again. I open the trottle less than 1/4
when i start it cold.
If it has been left for a weekend (friday to monday) it nomally starts
without problems, but today was the first ride in 8 days. I thin it took 4
or 5 tries before igniting today.

Dieses Problem kenne ich vom Leo 250 auch, obwohl dies ein anderer
Motorhersteller ist. Liegt das etwa an der Rollerfirma? Mein Händler
sagt auch nichts Genaues.

I think that the fuel tank and pump on the 250 is very similar to the 150.
There is a vacum pump in the tan kthat fills a small "bottle" above the
carburetor. The "bottle" has a return tube to the tank, so normally the pump
keeps the "bottle" full.
But when the leo has been standing still for a while the "best part" of the
fuel evaporates, and it is difficult to start. And since the pump runs on
the vacum from the engine it has trouble pumping enough fresh fuel until the
engine is running.
A solution is to mount an extra electrical "booster" pump as suggested by
Leo Freunde Hamburg. It will also help against the fuel starvation problem
when running flat out.
