know this on-line shop? Is it serious? Have you had any problem with it
(about warranty or assistance)? I have to buy a Yamaha receiver
(rx-v420rds), where I live (in italy) it costs 840 DM, at mediacheckpoint,
with shipping, about 620 DM.

If you buy YAMAHA at an official retailer you will get 2 years warranty
in Germany. If you buy at mediacheckpoint, who are no official retailer,
you will get only 6 months seller warranty.
All this will change in 2001 when seller warranty is liftetd to 2 years.
