Programmer Analyst / Developer candidates for a long term independent
contract in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, (ideally local, no
interviewing or travel expenses are available, no visa sponsorship
available, (TN1 OK) and no 3rd party referrals or agencies, please)
FT Work Week (days worked) M-F generally 8:30-5:30
JOB FUNCTION/PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Code, design, test, document & maintain computer programs. Analyze and
devise solutions for processing & technical issues. Develop & execute
unit & system integration test plans. Provides technical documentation
of data formats, programs & processes. Provide technical guidance to
team. Receive, analyze, resolve & respond to user questions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: BS, Computer Science or related field
Knowledge: Experience in developing software according to both
waterfall & RAD methodologies. Experience with iterative application
development. Experience in off the shelf (COTS) product system
integration projects. Experience developing & supporting ETL (data
transformation tools) Project and/or team Lead experience a plus.
Accustomed to working in a process oriented and documentation oriented
development environment.
Experience: Experience w/two or more relevant programming languages,
database management systems, communications or client products across
multiple platforms In depth experience with at least one product.
Experience with ETL tools (ie. Datastage) and COTS products (rules
engines, i.e. iLog, and reporting, i.e. Cognos) Java programming
(scripting & beans), Weblogic 6.1, Oracle 8 or 11I, J2EE, XML, SQL,
JSP, Visual Café, PVCS, WinRunner, Rational Rose, Datastage, Cognos
Special Requirements: Travel may be required. On-call, pager technical
support required.

This long term contract is in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area
offering an initial six month+ long term renewable contract with a
flexible starting rate in the $480 to $560 per day range, depending on
level and experience, with no interviewing or travel expenses
available for this project. Your asking compensation will be
