Report Developer will work directly with managers and business users to obtain reporting specifications, prototype reports, and create reports sourced from various data sources using Impromptu, PowerPlay and SQL. Must be ready to work closely with business end-users; perform data validation with a thorough knowledge of data elements. The successful applicant will have both exceptional business/data analysis skills and communication skills.
Required Skills
2-3 experience developing queries against SQL Server-based RDBMS
2-3 years recent experience with Impromptu, Impromptu Web Reports, PowerPlay Web, PowerPlay Enterprise Server SQL
Must have Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical background with attention to detail
QA Data validation and data integrity testing
Must have experience with data and business analysis
Demonstrate the ability to work in both independent and team environments under aggressive timelines
High attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
strong data presentation skills (report design, charts, graphs, UI skills)
Strong knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and graphs and ability to work with large data sets
Strong ability to translate business requirements
Knowledge of health industry a definite plus
Experience in Sales/Marketing organization a plus
Responsibilities
Candidate will develop ad-hoc and scheduled reports; meet with the Marketing business user to gather report specifications, prototype reports, create and validate reports using Impromptu, PowerPlay and SQL against SQL Server data bases.
Candidate will manage the quality of reports and data being presented to the user. He/She will be responsible for meeting scheduled dates.
Candidate must be able to work with subject matter experts & system developers to understand the data elements for reporting needs and will be responsible for identifying data issues.
