For an industry leader you will develop and manage a Messaging-Enabled
Applications consulting discipline with similar overall
responsibilities as a Senior Manager of a Big 5 Consulting Firm:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide subject matter leadership to client and project members in area
of MESSAGING ENABLED APPLICATIONS. Lead joint requirements and design
sessions with clients. Develop project workplans, Gannt schedules and
resource requirements and ensure project documentation. Manage client
expectations through customized project communications plans and review
of project budgets and invoices.
Package rapid messaging application development service offerings for
direct and channel sales organizations. Evaluate the technological
suitability of complementary technologies from partners for package
integration. Generate demand through field-based relationships with
partner sales forces, educating business partners about applications
competencies and speaking at demand generation events such as executive
briefings/conferences/seminars. Publish best practices through white
papers/columns/magazine articles.
Staff projects to optimize future career development and current
competencies of employees. Track discipline metrics: utilization,
realization, receivables, customer & employee satisfaction. Nurture
knowledge sharing through incentives, systems and processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years implementing packages or designing custom applications with
emphasis on meeting detailed functional requirements
Experience developing Internet applications with interaction at the
system and protocol levels (SMTP, POP, HTTP, IMAP, and LDAP)
Solid understanding of rapid iterative development methodologies
Strong understanding of events-driven application architectures enabled
by messaging
Experience designing interfaces to heterogeneous backend systems and
developing distributed software systems across multiple locations
Skills with message queues (MSMQ, MQ Series), COM/DCOM, CORBA, ASP,
Active and Java. Must have Platform strength in Exchange
Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred.
Ten years industry experience is required.
Experience with the integration of best of breed email Customer Support
Applications software by such companies as Aditi, Mustang, eGain Kana,
Brightware and G2X Software as plus
