We got a Performa to our school from some time ago.
I have no Mac experience and thought I could try it.
I have used Clarsi Works 3 on PC several years.
After playing with Myst the computer crashed talking about
low memory. I restarted and then I got the message HVD-terminal
object is missing. I removed the HVD shortcur from the
autostart map but still the MAC is making some sort of alarm.
I had to remove the sound so now it is quiete.
We did get no manuals and in the MAC I dont find any instruction
on what is going on. It is working properly, even Myst but
there is always this alarm, one beep every second.
What can be done, were can I read about alarms, how to
deal with it?
Thank you,
Stellan

See if HVD has any files in either the extensions or the Control Panels
folders, and remove those files too.
