Distribution für ASUS eeePC 701 4G?

Hallo,

ich suche eine schlanke Distribution für einen ASUS eeePC 701 4G.
Als Anwendung reicht der aktuelle Firefox und eine sehr einfache
Textverarbeitung (Abiword) sowie u.U. ein etwas besserer Editor.
Wer hat das Tipps, Rat- und Rückschläge auf Lager?

Irgendwas installieren, und dann halt keine Metapakete, sondern nur das,
was man braucht.

Ich weiß nicht, was du als "besserer Texteditor" siehst, aber die schon
von dir installierte Textverarbeitung sollte das doch machen.

Sonst, wenn es grafisch für Gnome sein darf, gedit. Oder die
(grafiklosen) Klassiker vi(m) bzw. emacs, die aber für jemanden, der
sonst nur Windows kennt, nicht interessant sein werden.

Oh, nun geht der Editor Krieg los... ;-)

Wie wäre es mit http://www.puppylinux.org/ ?

Die ist auf jeden Fall sehr "schlank". Aber abiword, gnumeric und
firefox sind kein Problem.

built 2.14X, a puplet with updated libs and applications (but old
kernel 2.6.18). This is suitable for pre-dual-processor PCs - it will
work well with the original eeePCs. And speaking of the eeePC 701,
Raffy (me) has released Breeezy, a 65-MB puplet in ZIP form ready to be
installed to USB or SD flash. Breeezy is now getting old, but it is
still useful for the original eeePC 701 4G and 2G Surf."

Das ist abger gar nicht meins! Das ist von einem Freund meiner
Lebensabschnittsgefahr, der hat es von seiner Frau geerbt (leider
im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes).

Genau die habe ich mir am Mittag kurz angesehen.
