Sorry to impose on this group but this is the only SO group available on my
server

Can someone please tell me how to program this spreadsheet cell:

Take sum of a1+a2+a3, if the result is less than 10, use 10

Thanks

Try this:

=MAX(A1+A2+A3;10)

it's this combination of functiones

=WENN(SUMME(A2:A3)<10;10;SUMME(A2:A3))

Replace 'A2:A3' with the range you need.

I have no english version of StarOffice. Maybe it's 'when' for 'wenn' and
'sum' for 'summe'. Have a look at the 'insert - fuctions' ('Einfügen -
Funktionen' in the german version).

I dont't think that MAX() is the right function. It's shows the biggest
value in the range.

Kind regards/Freundliche Grüße

LOL - It's just a joke.

'Na logo' means 'natürlich, logisch' = of course, sure

'LEGO' are usually toys for kids (building blocks and little man)

Because 'lego' sounds similar like 'logo', Jürgen wrote 'Na lego'

Hello Jay,

it's a play on words. Lego are this little coloured bricks by LEGO (have al
look at http://www.lego.com). It should sound funny. It's "lego" instead of
"logisch" (english "logical"). Don't ask me why it's logical, when Jürgen
Gerkens thinks, he can answer your Question. I'm not Spock. Maybe Jürgen
Gerkens knows ...

I have to read english documents, mostly IBM-Manuals. Well, and Terry
Pratchetts diskworld novel, because I don't want to wait for the german
translations. But I'm not good when ist comes to speaking and writing in
english. Maybe in english one would say "No problem".

Another example of this kind of humor is "zum Bleistift" (english "for
pencil") instead of "zum Beispiel" (english "for example"). To say "pencil"
in place of "example" did not sound funny. In german "Bleistift" und
"Beispiel" sound similar. That tremendous fun ...

Don't panic. Germans are mostly harmless.

Kind regars/Freundliche Grüße

Exactly, just a litle game am Rande. ;-)

Na, im letzten Jahrhundert wäre diese Aussage aber etwas sehr gewagt
gewesen. Aber das ist ja schließlich auch im letzten Jahrtausende gewesen
und entsprechend lange her. :-)
