Motorola LS550

Does anybody like or dislike the Motorola LS550? Take a look at it if you

Very few people - including Motorolans - like the LS350, LS550, etc. But
Motorola had to offer a cheap digital with even more features that they did
in the last model. I *still* think that the Bravo LX/FLX was one the best
digital pagers that Motorola ever made. But alas, I don't even handle
digital pagers anymore...

They've already cancelled the LS350 and the grave for the LS550 is being
prepared. The LS750 and BR850 will be around a little longer, but Motorola
is going to only make one, *MAYBE* two digital pagers since margins are
becoming so thin. The optimal plan is to offer a low-end and high-end
version each, of one-way digital and one-way alpha - and that'll be it for
one-way. They'll also carry the Timeport P935 (silver & black) , the T900
(in 4 colors) and perhaps a very thin/small 1.7 or 1.8 product. (1.8 being
defined as being able to "pull" news to the device)

They've already announced the next digital pager and it should be shipped in
quantity by Jan 2001. I've already seen marketing slicks from Arch and the
device is very small and retail-looking.

i mean "real life" people i know, not people that i know from online. i
dont want a digital pager i want a NUMERIC pager!
