We are working with AltaVista Firewall 97 and AltaVista Mail, both running
on NT 4.0 Servers. There is a mailserver on the firewall who just transfers
mail between the internet and the internal mail server. The name of the
internal mailserver is
pop3.mycompany.com. We can send mails to external
hosts, we receive mails from external hosts, and we can send internal mails
with adresses like
us...@pop3.mycompany.com.
The problem we have is if we send internal mails to an adress like
us...@mycompany.com (without the leading pop3), the mail is not delivered.
This usualy happens if we reply to an internal mail. How can we fix this ?
Thank you for your help !
