PPP login trouble at 1 isp - help !!!

I am struggling to connect to ISP using PPP. With almost identical setup I
can connect to one ISP using Xwindow while the other one will not connect.
The differences in the two login setup are the account names, telephone
numbers and password. One is set as PPP0 (which would not connect) the other
one is PPP1 (which connects without any problem). The ISP which we could not
connect would not give any assistance on Linux connections. With Windows 95
we could connect the same ISP without any problem. If any one had similar
kind of problem and solved could you please help!!!
